Announcement regarding Reception class places for September 2012-2013:
The school Governing Body has agreed to take an extra class of Reception aged pupils in September of 2012. The Local Authority will be providing an extra building in order for us to take 30 more local pupils.
This means that the Reception year will have 3 classes of children. There will be 90 Reception aged children in the school.
We are very pleased that we are able to offer local families these extra school places.
Bristol City Council is celebrating the Olympics. This week every school was asked to nominate three children who represent the Olympic Values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship.
Mr Robinson had to choose three children who he thought were really good representatives for the school and who always strived for Excllence, always showed Respect and were always Friendly.
This was not easy.
He chose Awa and Holly in Year 5 and Hamsa in Year 6. Mr Crawte took the children to the Council House where they met the Mayor and were presented with certificates that they can keep for the rest of their lives.
Well done Awa, Holly and Hamsa.

Welcome to our school and specialist children's centre.
Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors,
Welcome to our school and our new website. We hope that you find this website useful in providing you with key information about our school, our nursery and our specialist children's centre. I am very proud to be the Principal of the centre and to have been part of the amazing journey we have all been on over the past five years. Five years ago we were three separate schools and a children's centre working in three buildings across the area. Now we are one school in a brand new building, a large nursery and a specialist children's centre offering education and day care. We also work very closely with the National Health Service and with the Barton Hill Settlement in providing a whole range of services for children and families.
Barton Hill is a very special place to work with children and families from 22 different countries. We value diversity and seek to support every child in their learning journey no matter what their needs.
We hope that you find the information you are looking for.
With all best wishes
Simon Robinson
Principal
